When you get caught - Warm Up

1. Should a photographer who makes this mistake get a second chance? Why or Why not?
-Yes, I think he should. He said it was a mistake and shouldn't of done it, he should of been punished but not fired.

2. The AP went through all the images they published by this photographer, but what about the rest of the images he produces, should he forever be tainted by this supposed one mistake? Why or Why not?

-No I don't think he should, honestly it wasn't even that big of a mistake. Yes the job called for no photoshopping but since he was an amazing photographer with awards, he shouldn't be tainted for this small mistake.

3. Why should news organizations like the AP have these kinds of rules about photography?

-So that they have an a strong standard of non-photoshopped pictures. They can be honest about the pictures they have, by being the real deal.

4. How do you think they figured this out? I have looked at a number of stories about this and there is never mention how the discovered that this image had been altered.

-I'm not sure, they might of stumbled upon his original somehow. Or he might of accidentally said something.

Peer Review

http://caseyjoblog.blogspot.com/

1. What photo I liked the best is the black and white one. I love the angle and lighting in this picture. It looks like the person used a fish eye lens, because it almost has that angle. I am a huge fan of black & white so I think this person chose wisely by making it negative.

2. My least favorite photo is hard because I really liked all of them. But I'm going to have to be critical of one of them. The one with the shoes could of been cropped differently. I feel like the shoes were cut off and if they lifted the camera a little higher they could of gotten more of the feet and whatever they were standing on.

3. A couple statements about this person's pictures for this prompt, would be they had a unique angle on them. I love pictures that I've never seen before, they did a good job. Another positive thing would be their lighting. In all the pics the lighting is really good, and the cropping is also well done. I really enjoyed them.

4. There isn't much that this person needs to improve on, but if anything their cropping and maybe focus a little more on their subjects. Other than that they are talented at finding unique angles and subjects.

5. The best prompt that they portrayed would be the pose one. The girl in the picture isn't posing for the picture but it fits the prompt.

6. I think the prompt that was least portrayed was "The End" because even though its a cool picture, it doesn't really exhibit the end. It is just a picture of a door opening to a volleyball game. Regardless it is a really unique picture.

Reflecting on 2013

This is one of my favorites because the angle is so cool. I love this unique way to look at these buildings. It makes me appreciate architecture and how people are able to build such cool skyscrapers.

This picture made me sad, but it is a very emotionally stirring moment. Her grief is clearly evident and grips the heart as you look at it. You want to hug her or comfort her. I love when a picture can make you feel emotions as if you were present in the moment.

I looooove this picture. The lighting is amazing. The viewpoint is cool and I really love the environment they are in.

1. What was the best song of 2013?
-The best song I thought was "Come and Get it" by Selena Gomez. It isn't the best song I've ever heard but to me it has meaning. One of my best friends got sent away from texas for a year and we listened to that song all the time. When I hear it I think of her.
\

2. What was the best movie of 2013?
-I loved World War Z this year a lot. I saw it twice in the theater and a bunch of times since its come out. It has zombies which I love and Brad Pitt, so all around its a great movie and a must see.

3. What was the most important news story of the year?
-Probably the Boston Marathon Bombing. I picked it because of a couple reasons. It is scary to think that our country is sometimes not safe, and that things like that can't be prevented. Also, I love running so thinking about all those runners hurt, scared, and afraid for their lives is sad.

4. Who was the most important person of 2013?
-I would have to say that Jay-Z was the most inspirational person in 2013. His music has inspired musicians, rising artists, and people around the world. He continues to make great music, and while being loyal to his wife, he has been a great example of a talented artist. I picked him because I like most of his music.

5. What was the biggest sports OR entertainment story OR sports/entertainment person of 2013?
-One of the biggest and one of the most devastating news was when Paul Walker died. Everyone loved him, he was the star of Fast and Furious. It shocked everyone to know that he died so young.

1. Tell me what is the one thing that happened on your holiday that you will remember? It can be a trip, a family visit, a present, something fun.
-I remember when the 2014 began when the clock turned 12 and my best friend was there with me. It is a special year because a lot of good things will be happening.

2. What are your resolutions for the 2014 year?
-To live life to the fullest.
3. What are you looking forward to in 2014?
-Learning more and experiencing new things. Meeting new people and enjoying life.
